Deck & porch footings.

We install engineered helical piles as footings for decks and porches across the Hudson Valley and the surrounding tri-state area. Each pile is advanced past the weak material until recorded torque confirms it has reached competent soil, so what holds your deck up is measured, not assumed.

Why piles under a deck

No concrete, no waiting to frame.

Torque-Verified Installation
/01

Ready for Framing the Same Day

A pile carries load the moment it hits spec. On decks, porches, and light structures there is no concrete at all, so framing can start the same day. That is a small-job advantage; on commercial jobs, concrete companies often pour footers on top of our piles.

/02

Built for Bad Ground

Piles are advanced past the weak material until torque confirms capacity in competent soil, so the problem layer is no longer what holds your deck or porch up.

/03

Recorded Torque on Every Pile

A torque hub on the drive head sends a live reading to a recording device on every pile, so each one is checked against the engineered spec before the next goes in.

/04

Engineered Before We Drive

A deck gets the same process as anything else we build on. We work from your plans, a soil boring, and a site inspection. Pile spec, helix configuration, and layout come back as an engineered drawing for approval.

/05

Excavator-Driven, Excavation In-House

Our piles go in off excavators, and every job to date has needed some excavation. We do that digging ourselves, billed as its own line item, so nobody waits on another contractor to open the ground.

Before you commit

Are piles right for your deck?

/A

Not every site suits piles

There are soil conditions where helical piles are the wrong answer. That gets settled by the soil boring and the site inspection, which come before anything is engineered or installed, so the answer rests on data from your site.

/B

No job too small to ask about

There is no minimum project size. Send us what you know about the deck or porch and the ground under it, and we will tell you what the next step is.

/C

When it's the house that's moving

If the problem is under the house rather than the deck, see foundation repair and underpinning. For general contractors, our commercial work comes with a free site assessment.

How it works

From first call to finished.

Every project · four steps
01

Plans & Site Details

Send the site address, any plans or drawings you have for the deck or porch, and anything you already know about the soil. The more you have, the tighter the number.

Site address & details
02

Soil Boring & Inspection

A soil boring and a site inspection tell us what is actually under the project: depth to competent soil, obstructions, and access for the machine.

Soil data
03

Engineered Drawing & Spec

Pile spec, helix configuration, and layout are engineered to your structure's loads. Once the drawing is approved, we order material.

04

Torque-Verified Install

Every pile is driven until recorded torque confirms capacity, and the reading is logged against the spec.
