Foundation repair & underpinning.
Most people call us with the same problem: poor soil and a foundation that is moving. Underpinning is how we fix it. We install engineered helical piles under existing homes and commercial buildings across the Hudson Valley and the surrounding tri-state area, advancing each one past the weak material until recorded torque confirms it has reached competent soil.
Underpinning works on homes and commercial buildings alike, and we take on both. Every pile is torque-monitored in real time and recorded against the engineered load spec on the spot, so the support under your structure is measured, not assumed.

Past the bad ground, down to the good.
The Problem Layer Stops Carrying the Load
Helical piles bypass the bad ground entirely. Each pile is advanced past the weak material until torque confirms capacity in competent soil, and from then on the problem layer stops being the thing holding your structure up.
Recorded Torque on Every Pile
Our drive head carries a torque hub that transmits a live reading to a recording device on every pile. Installation torque correlates directly to load capacity, so each pile is confirmed against the engineered spec before we move to the next one. Torque is logged in foot-pounds, the unit the crew and the device actually work in.
Engineered Before We Drive
We work from your plans, a soil boring, and a site inspection. Pile spec, helix configuration, and layout come back as an engineered drawing for approval. Nothing gets installed off a guess about what is under the building.
Excavator-Driven, Excavation In-House
We install off excavators. Every job we have done so far has needed some excavation, so we handle it ourselves as a separate line item: one crew, one schedule, and no waiting on a second contractor to open the ground up.
Galvanized Steel
The piles are galvanized North American steel, engineered to your structure's loads and installed to spec.
Is underpinning right for your building?
Not every site suits piles
There are soil conditions where helical piles are the wrong answer. That question gets settled in step two of the process below: the soil boring and the site inspection come before anything is engineered or installed, so the answer rests on data from your site rather than a guess.
Homes and commercial buildings
Underpinning is not only a homeowner's fix. It works for residential structures and for commercial ones, and we take on both. If you are a general contractor with a building that needs support, see our commercial work, where site assessments are free.
No job too small to ask about
There is no minimum project size. Send us what you know about the structure and what you have noticed, and we will tell you what the next step is.
From first call to finished.
Plans & Site Details
Send the site address, any plans or drawings you have, and what you have noticed about the foundation. The more you have, the tighter the number.

A soil boring and a site inspection tell us what is actually under the structure: depth to competent soil, obstructions, and access for the machine.
